We are a group of friends who enjoy playing with electronics, especially the Arduino platform. We built this site to share projects and ideas with each other.
I really enjoy being able to build my own hardware. I am learning electronics with my Arduino’s and I try to be correct on what I am saying, but there is usually a better way to do most of the things I do. With most things that I build, I have to ask Morgellon to go over what I have done, which is really cool, as a few years ago we lived together and he had to ask me all of his Linux/Programming questions. We talk on the phone now and go over ideas that we have, asking the other if its possible and the best way to do things.
My favorite Duino so far is the Really Bare Bones Freeduino from Modern Devices. It is very small, cheap, and just seems to fit in with my projects.
Inspired by many works of SCi-Fi, Fantasy, Anime, Cyberpunk and countless others; I desire to create open source projects that mesh art and technology in new and ever interesting– yet still practical ways. The *duino’s have won over my heart as an ally in this quest.
After studying electronics and robotics, I graduated in June of 2008 with an AAS Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Although due to the current economy, I have yet to put my degree use. So, in the meanwhile I deliver pizzas by day and work on projects by night.
Ahh, yes, the arduino. All the things that drive me crazy (math, programming, and electronics) in one cheap, easy to break with a hammer package. Just what I needed to ensure my blood pressure is always adequate. I’ve taken a couple of basic courses; DC/AC Fundamentals and Semiconductor Fundamentals, the latter of which I managed to score a “C” in after losing my lab workbook. Electronics that interest me include anything RF, music related, or using vacuum tubes. Favorite things to do on the arduino are buffer overflows, lots of buffer overflows…
